Heyyy everyone! I’m going to keep this short and sweet cause I have no idea what I did last night to deserve such pain the next day. I think I lost my voice laughing at my adult, drunken mind making terribly dirty jokes while watching 90’s cartoons. Terrible. Anyways, I’m slightly hungover, mute with no voice, and I need more sleep so let’s get this shit started.
VEIL OF MAYA — “VISCERA”
Ayeee! Glad to see some familiar bands putting out some new music. I’ve photographed this Chicago based metalcore band known as VEIL OF MAYA I don’t know how many times, but it’s always a high energy show. The first time I saw them was… during the Sumerian 10 Year Tour in 2016 on Marc’s 30’s birthday actually (you’re up next fellow Pisces!). When VEIL OF MAYA comes to the Ace of Spades in Sacramento it’s always a party. This is their latest release called “Viscera” which came out a few days ago. BAEST — “GENESIS”
Loving this death metal band from Denmark right now! BAEST has come out with this killer single “Genesis” from their upcoming album ‘Necro Sapians’ which will be out March 5th! There’s about 150 physical copies left out of 500 so get yours soon! This will be their fourth studio album within the last five years, which is a great track record! Definitely check out their previous works if you haven’t heard of this band and be sure to pre-order a physical copy of BAEST new album ‘Necro Sapians’ before they’re all gone!
NERVOSA — “GENOCIDAL COMMAND”
And of course I cannot complete this list without NERVOSA‘s new song “Genocidal Mind”! This all-woman thrash metal band from Sao Paolo has been on my “must-see” list since I moved to LA. They tend to play in Mexico a lot, and if you know me I’m just dying to get to a Mexican metal show! NERVOSA has been around for a minute so I’m sure some of you have already heard of this amazing band. This new song of theirs — “Genocidal Mind” — is off of their latest album called ‘Perpetual Chaos’ which was released earlier this year. Seriously check out their entire thrash metal album and be sure to purchase it to support this badass brutal band!
