Hey everyone! Hope you had a good day at work and aren’t too tired cause it’s time to rage out! I’m feeling pretty good celebrating my two year anniversary living and thriving in Los Angeles. Seriously came here with too many bags and $10 — crazy shit! Far better off now of course but looking back, holy shit… I did that?! Sounds scary, and unprepared (hahaha! as is most of my life decisions that happen to work out cause I “had a feeling”). But I’d like to think of it like “holy shit, I did that”. It’s been wild but I’ve accomplished a lot so far — and I’m looking forward to accomplishing a whole lot more! But first, I need to bust out some MFKN speakers! Let’s get started!
DEADVECTORS — “CHAMELEON” FT. NICK CROSS
If you’re looking for a band that has fun with their range of break downs, then this is the band for you this week! DEADVECTORS is a deathcore/djent metal band who’s just recently released their song “Chameleon” featuring NICK CROSS from DIVISIVE (sweet!). Their discography goes back to 2019, but this track is from their latest release ‘Menace//Chameleon’ which is a double-single record. Check out DEADVECTORS below, and head over to Spotify for their full playlist!
SADISTIC FORCE — ‘PAIN, SEX, AND RAPTURE’
Looking for some old school style thrash — this is the band for you! SADISTIC FORCE is a newer old school thrash metal band from Austin, Texas who’s come out with a new album ‘Pain, Sex, and Rapture’ for some consensual brutality and your musical pleasure. A moshpit should form in your living room with this album for sure from all of those thrash breakdowns (especially with track #3) Check out SADISTIC FORCE‘s album ‘Pain, Sex, and Rapture’ below and be sure to buy it from their Band Camp page!
STAKE DRIVER — “WASHED IN CURSED BLOOD”
I knew what kind of metal it was when I played it, but the song reminded me anyways… PURE FUCKING BLACK METAL! Coming out of Dayton, Ohio, STAKE DRIVER is making it’s mark on black metal music. Newly formed, STAKE DRIVER has released their second single of the year called “Washed In Cursed Blood” which is a little over three minutes of beautiful, howling terror. If you’re a huge black metal fan I highly suggest you check them out! Listen to “Washed In Cursed Blood” below and check out their Band Camp page for the other single!
VIOLENT NOISE ATTACK — ‘GRIND TILL DEAFNESS’
I literally cried laughing with this album — I fucking love it! Grindcore has a tendency to make me laugh since a lot of the songs are usually short as shit and just screams. VIOLENT NOISE ATTACK is the perfect example of why I love grindcore — short-tempered, crazy, loud and feral sounding. ‘Grind Till Deafness’ is a full length album of fourteen songs and a BONUS track — it is 7:13 minutes long. The one that took me out was track three; the fact that it was in two parts and three seconds long… I fucking started laughing till my ribs hurt. It was too much — and my favorite track. I loved sitting there as each track ended abruptly after about 30 seconds of high level yowls. Unfortunately, this is an old album from 1990 (ayyyeee) and there’s no social media to follow up on, but isn’t it just great to know that grindcore is the same now as it was before? Lovely. Check it out below!
RED ROOM — “DO YOU BELIEVE IN THE BOOGEYMAN?”
RED ROOM‘s new deathcore song “Do You Believe In The Boogeyman?” is the first single this band has dropped! Not too much on social media (since they formed about four months ago), but I’ll be checking on what they’re up to! So far RED ROOM seems to have a dark, torturous theme with their band/music — makes me curious for the future. Check it out below and follow up on their YouTube channel for more!
ENEMY 906 — “NO PRICE” FT. BRAWL BETWEEN ENEMIES
Another new band to add to the list! ENEMY 906 is a slamming brutal deathcore band from Guadalajara, Mexico (do you guys know a dude named Ethegar with an “E” carved in his arm? I had my first kiss with that fool in Cabo hahaha! #missedconnections) that has formed over quarantine to bring us some bad ass music! “No Price” featuring BRAWL BETWEEN ENEMIES is a killer track of pure brutality. I’ve been wanting to get into the Mexican metal scene for a minute (especially since I’m so damn close now), and I’d love to see this band play in a line up! These guys are just getting started so I’ll be checking in on what they’re up to later on! Listen to ENEMY 906‘s “No Price” ft. BRAWL BETWEEN ENEMIES below and get it on their Band Camp page for $1 (USD).
