Ghost premiered ‘new’ lead singer Cardinal Copia last week, but everyone’s been talking about the new “Ghoulette” mask…
Oddly enough, some even believe this to be a new member of the band (are you kidding me?) and want to know who she is. SHE is Megan Thomas, and she’s been with Ghost since fall of 2016. A few (dozen) fans complained about the feminization of the ghoul claiming that she’s now been “sexualized” (because her tits are out… totally). Others have pointed out that everyone thinks “neutral” = male/masculine, which could attribute to why most are having a tough time with the new mask. I suppose since they all appeared “male”, that was the “neutral look”.
But, two things:
1. They’re all technically gender-neutral masks because hair length doesn’t determine sex.
2. It’s 2018… who cares if they want to have their female band member in a distinguished mask? Get over it.
Most (thankfully) love the new look of the female Ghost member and can’t wait for their upcoming tour. If you want to check out the latest chapter in the long history of Ghost, check out their unveiling of a new leader, their new music video for “Rats!”, and upcoming tour dates below!
Ghost‘s new album “Prequelle” will be out on June 1st!
