Happy Full Gemini Moon! Tonight we’re going to have that luminous, gorgeous giant hanging above our heads in it’s largest form. Gemini is the sign of communication, adventure, and fun energy (my ascending sign). l cannot wait! LOVE YOUR WITCH — “THE ENDLESS RIDER”
Creative and chaotic! LOVE YOUR WITCH is a stoner thrash metal band from Tel Aviv, Israel who’s recently released their new song “The Endless Rider”. These two genres blended together are a perfect match! I love how LOVE YOUR WITCH goes from being powerful, yet relaxing to a complete frenzy. “The Endless Rider” is a rollercoaster of riffs and fast as hell kick drums all leading up to an epic ending. WITCHCULT — ‘SELF TITLED’
Let’s get doomy! WITCHCULT is a stoner/doom metal band from Christchurch, New Zealand (yes, that’s a real place I looked it up) and they’ve come out with their first album! Their self titled album is a brilliant contrast between the heavy chords and the lightly demonic vocals. This band gives you the best of both worlds while maintaining their personal style of music. My favorite song has got to be “God is Gay” — wonderfully heavy and completely satisfying for any doom metal lover! CRONE VISIONS — ‘MYSTIC DELUSIONS OF ASTRAL TRAVEL’
Gorgeous gaze with a gothic stoner/fuzz upbeat tempo CRONE VISIONS is a sporadic wave of light. From Manchester, New Hampshire they have a romantically dark veil that overlays every euphoric chord be it a riff or vocal. Their new album ‘Mystic Delusions of Astral Travel’ is an explosive and experimental tide filled with boundless dream-like vocals. DESERT WAVE — ‘DEAFENING SILENCE’
Time to get trippy! DESERT WAVE is a psychedelic stoner band from Vicenza, Italy who’s groovy medley is a natural progression from psych/doom to stoner rock. Perfect for meditation or beginning your nightly ritual, ‘Deafening Silence’ releases all negative energy and replaces it with trippy riffs. ‘Deafening Silence’ is the second album by DESERT WAVE and I’m looking forward to the next installment! TRAGIC — ‘SALT OF THE EARTH’
Last but certainly not least is this magical instrumental band called TRAGIC from Bucharest, Romania! This post/doom metal band released their fourth album ‘Salt of the Earth’ late October this year and it’s vibrancy is astounding. TRAGIC builds momentum with each piece of the puzzle falling into place unfurling this tapestry full of both color and darkness. With each song I can literally feel myself sinking deeper into a meditative state luring me into a personal nirvana. Even though this album is instrumental it speaks volumes at it’s core through every strum and beat.
