Happy First Day of Spring! I’m excited about seeing all of the beautiful flowers and (my favorite) roses bloom near my place. Still a bit cloudy for now, but soon it’ll be 100-something degrees at 9am, and we’ll all start sweating like we stole something. In celebration of today I’m going to be putting up some stoner/doom music that’s more “whimsical” than usual — something to really get high to and chill with.
EL ALTAR DEL HOLOCAUSTO — ‘T R I N I D A D’
Very whimsical indeed. EL ALTAR DEL HOLOCAUSTO is a 3-piece instrumental metal band from Spain who know how to groove with each other. Loving the mellow, tender vibes mixed with some darker patches of riffs. It’s a good beginning to the new Spring of 2021 — a fresh new start, and much better than last year! This is something I’d unwind to with some heavy sativa. ‘T R I N I D A D’ is one of those albums that takes you somewhere without you having to leave the room. LUCID SINS — “JOKER’S DANCE”
Another beautifully whimsical song for the list! LUCID SINS is a stoner rock band from Scotland, UK who’s coming out with a new album called ‘Cursed!‘. “Joker’s Dance” is a fun, new wave 60’s/70’s style song that makes me think of Alice in Wonderland illustrated with weed in mind instead of an acid trip. LUCID SINS will have their new album ‘Cursed!’ out on April 5th, but for now we have this gem below! LA GILDA DEI TABACCAI — ‘GENTE SBROCCA E SUCCEDE ROBA’
Fresh new band from Italy! LA GILDA DEI TABACCAI is an instrumental/experimental stoner band that’s just come out with this EP called ‘GENTE SBROCCA E SUCCEDE ROBA’ that’s definitely more rock n’ roll than the others on this list. I love how it goes from melodic to kind of punk and back again — the intricate feelings of Springtime. This is for the ones who like it a little different when listening to experimental stoner music. Kind of like my Witchy Shit Playlist from this week it’s very eclectic with the different genres it’s mixing together.
