Hello My loves! Tomorrow night/morning is the first full moon of the year and it’s under the sign of Leo! As one of my favorite moons, this one is all about gaining power. Power for what? Well, what do you want? Do you want the power to succeed despite these awful conditions? Or the power to get up every morning and wash your ass? It’s all up to you. What is the Full Leo Moon About?
Full Leo Moons are about abundance. Abundance of power, success, and self-love. This is the time to amplify your m*nifestations and start doing what you’ve been meditating on. The hardest part is starting, after that it all becomes routine (it takes about three weeks to make or break a habit by the way). Charge up your energy, bring life to your ideas, and embody the passion you’ve been holding in. This fire moon is also a good time to burn out the bridges that need burning, or to destroy something that needs to be out of your life or routine. You can shape yourself with this, but only through destruction — burning parts away. HERE LIES MAN is more of a stoner rock band with an extra kick of vitality! And if you love to dance for your Moon Goddess, there’s plenty of riffs to ride on this record! PEACHES — “YOU LOVE IT”
Yes. Yes I fucking do PEACHES. This Woman is a fucking Goddess and I won’t hear anything else (flashback to when I lowkey flashed her at a show and she popped champagne on me yassss!). “You Love It” by PEACHES is a huge energy boost for me personally — you can’t just “chill out” to PEACHES. This electro-punk Queen has been making music since for a while and is the perfect music for punk rocking out for some fiery emotions. I would honestly recommend that you listen to her entire album ‘Impeach My Bush’ (that and ‘Fatherfucker’). However, if you go through her entire discography, you’ll probably find a song that best suits your specific situation. NIGHT FT. STEVIE VANN LANGE — “THE STRIPPER”
I woke up right before 4am today and blasted this. How did I find such a video? Where I find a good chunk of my music — a movie! NIGHT ft. STEVIE VANN LANGE was featured in the 1981 horror film The Monster Club starring VINCENT PRICE. It looks like the band is gone but STEVIE VANN LANGE is still going strong! The UK singer has moved to LA and is now a vocal coach! How she didn’t top the charts in the 1980’s is beyond me — how isn’t she as famous as JOAN JETT? That voice is all power. So if you’re looking for something loud and wild, this is your Woman. Check out m favorite song from the movie The Monster Club (available on SHUDDER) and listen to more of her music here!
FREEHOWLING — “HOPE!!”
This is one killer track! FREEHOWLING is a hardcore metal band from Hauts-de-France, France and they are putting in some major work here with this song “Hope!!”. Their last album being from 2017, this band has been brewing up some good shit that’s coming out tomorrow — an EP called ‘Journey of a Dead Man’, nice! “Hope!!” is complied of a sample from the film Joker (right before he shot up the tv host), brutal lyrics and consecutive beatdowns one after the other. ATLAS OF ELYSIAN — “FIRE”
Literally chose this song because it was called “Fire”, and I was not disappointed. ATLAS OF ELYSIAN is a melodic/metalcore band from Cardiff, UK that’s a fairly new. Looking at their Band Camp they seem to have a lot of things that released in 2020! This is the kind of music I would love to listen to during a fire moon ritual! Melodic, dark, some beatdown, but mostly just epic. Being that ATLAS OF ELYSIAN had just started coming out with music and it already sounds this good, I’m pretty hopeful for the future! Get your “Fire” moon magic going with this one if you’re looking for something like BEHEMOTH but less “burning Catholic Church” sounding (no opera in the background).
