HELLO!!! Today is a great, glorious day. That weirdo is out of the white house and things are already looking brighter for my country. To all others out there, I know you’ve been watching the shit show for the last four years — but living it is another thing. Also, this plight is almost done, but there’s other countries out there that need help (it’s not just corona killing people out there). Hopefully with this new President we will seek to aide others in need (since the last one wouldn’t). So! This week is the final week of the New Capricorn Moon — what have you grounded into your life? What new success awaits you because of your focused energy? This is a list complied for reflection, and energy m*nifestation to get ready for the Full Leo Moon (in about eight days).
What To Do Around This Time…
This is the time to center yourself as much as possible — hold into your intentions as hard as you can. Creating energy, and harvesting it with your focused mind is key right now. I know we all want to relax, but there is so much work to be done. 2020 was a complete dumpster fire of a year, and we need to come back from that. In 2021, we are going to be more in-tune with what needs to be done in order for things to get accomplished instead of being shy or tip-toeing around the issue. Some have lost their homes, loved ones, life savings, their ability and willingness to get up in the morning — it’s time to take that power back.
AXIOM9 — ‘CHILDREN OF THE PLAGUE’
This dark and sensual album is perfect for meditation and in some parts perfect for dancing! AXIOM9 is an experimental/psych/doom metal band from Madrid, Spain and this album ‘Children Of The Plague’ is just an improvised jam session — crazy! I love it when amazing music comes out of a band just messing around during rehearsal, that’s true talent. Fully instrumental and always building up to the climactic end — a great way to start off any day with some energy rising! DOOM N’ GLOOM — ‘FOR THOSE ABOUT TO DOOM’
DOOM N’ GLOOM is a newly formed band from the Netherlands and they just dropped their ‘For Those About To Doom’ album last week. Very good stuff for meditation and focusing energies. Another instrumental album, but more on the heavy/doom side. The record gets a little melodic as you get more into it, but the vibe is still the same — sexy riffs, fuzzy sounds, mid doom metal. LIKE DUST — ‘FIDES ET RATIO’
The ‘Fides Et Ratio’ (translation: faith and reason) album by Canadian band LIKE DUST is not the average kind of atmospheric black metal. It’s more black metal than atmospheric, but it still has those elements within the record. Really loving how LIKE DUST mixes their tempo up within different songs — instead of one song sounding one way and another some other way, the variety is encompassed in each song. I swear I heard a little bit of death metal in there as well at some point. This isn’t their latest release either — “Crown The Radiant Dead” is available on their Band Camp as well as other works! KABBALAH — ‘THE OMEN’
In absolute love with this all-female band KABBALAH! Gracing us from Pamplona, Spain, KABBALAH has been making music sine 2013 with ‘The Omen’ as their latest release! This heavy psych/doom/occult rock band has their own style and flavor that’s rarely seen in the genre — light, but occult. It’s usually the heavier ones that grab my attention, but there’s something about this music. ‘The Omen’ is a transitional kind of album — from one moon to another. ENOID — ‘LIVSSYKLUS DODSSYKLUS’
How’s about a black metal grand finale? ENOID is a black metal band from Lausanne, Switzerland and they’ve been around making music since 2004! Their album ‘LIVSSYKLUS DODSSYKLUS’ is a beautiful piece of some hardcore black metal music — definitely passed the “turn it up” test. The ‘LIVSSYKLUS DODSSYKLUS’ album is the perfect catalyst between a New Capricorn Moon and a Full Leo Moon — charging up that energy. You’re going to want your black candles for this one — all sizes.
