If you’re looking for a messed up psychological thriller, this is the new movie you should check out! Starring Topher Grace (That 70’s Show) as the mentally unstable patient who’s been released on house arrest after a mysterious and gruesome crime. Not long after his arrival there’s a few strange things going on in the house. But is it real, or all in his head? As the film progresses, he starts to unravel more and more. With the help of a new love interest (that he’s not allowed to have in the house), the house’s mystery is finally solved… in a very horrifying way.
It’s more interesting version of Disturbia… which sucked by the way. Similar plot of the father dying which propels the main character into a new storyline. Both main characters were under house arrest with a beautiful girl (who’s clearly into damaged guys) that helps them figure something out. His P.O. however… not so great. Turns out she’s a little rapey and I recommend any male with sexual harassment/assault PTSD from a woman should look away from the screen at one point (when Topher gets scared and calls for her to come over). Or just avoid the whole movie, whatever is preferable.
Without ruining it for you, I’d give it 3/5 skulls as a solid rating 💀💀💀. Definitely surprised me a few times. In the end I felt almost as crazy as he did trying to figure out what was real and what he was imagining. The ending is a trip for sure!
