Hey everyone! So I randomly got a chance to chill and shoot with DTLA’s Alternative bad girl (that’s putting it mildly) Luzia Lowe. For those of you who don’t know check her out on instagram @luzia_lowe. She’s an Alternative model, Dominatrix, Performance Artist, Exotic Dancer, and my new friend!
Luckily I messaged her at the right time while I was getting my SoCal schedule together (LA is 50% “in the moment” / “perfect timing” and 50% getting near your scheduled location REALLY early and hanging out at the nearest coffee shop). We met up that Monday night in DTLA in a black walled, devilishly lit artist loft. Just so happens that she needed to do a fitting and I needed a weird dungeon to photograph her in. Luckily again, the designer who owned the loft just happened to have one in his bedroom.
So we went to work… nothing but viiiibez (muse and artist vibes).
Afterwards we sat down for more of a conversation rather than an interview. We ended up talking about all kinds of shit including how to have more confidence as a woman, and what she was like as a kid. And yeah, I asked what celebs she’s bumped into during work and… oh wow LOL didn’t see that one coming (HIM?!)!
If you just so happen to be in the Southern California area on May 26th, she will be performing with her troupe Coven of Ashes for DESECRATED IN DEATH “in honor of Alse Young, the first woman in New England persecuted and murdered for witchcraft on May 26th 1647, with a visceral ritual performance”. Sounds fuckin sick!
